The North Oakland Family YMCA, designed by Rossetti in Detroit, features a striking Terra5 terracotta rainscreen façade by Cladding Corp. As the primary exterior material, terracotta brings warmth and texture to the building’s modern design. Two complementary colors were used to add depth and visual interest while reinforcing the YMCA’s welcoming identity. The rainscreen system enhances both the building’s aesthetic appeal and long-term envelope performance.
