Tukwila King County Library - Tukwila, WA

For this striking design, the team at Perkins + Will provided King County with a modern and energy-efficient community hub via the new Tukwila Library.  The featured facade material was our Terra5 terracotta rainscreen cladding.  Using a random pattern of a few grey colored terracotta panels, the building is lively and ready to serve the minds of all who want to be inspired.  Glowing compliments and awards have been showered on this community gem.  The design showcases natural elements of the Pacific Northwest - both inside and out.  The terracotta's warmth is underscored by long plank shapes that complement the building's entrance and glass wall features.
