Amon G. Carter Stadium at TCU - Fort Worth, TX
Originally designed in 1928 by Andrew Poyar, with east and west stands added in 1930 by Fort Worth architect Wyatt C. Hedrick, Amon G. Carter Stadium at TCU has undergone multiple phases of redevelopment. HKS Architects led the design for the East Side Addition and comprehensive renovations, including interior design. Thornton Tomasetti provided structural design services to HKS Architects for the stadium's redevelopment As part of the updated facade, HKS selected Swisspearl high-density fiber cement (HDFC) panels in a light grey color, installed in a rainscreen application to enhance both performance and aesthetics. The modernized design pays homage to the stadium's rich architectural legacy while integrating contemporary materials and systems.
