LEED Platinum Transpo Center in South Bend

For the new South Bend Transportation Building in South Bend, the goal was clear – design a transportation facility that is multifunctional and sustainable.  LEED® Platinum certified, the Transpo project, designed by RNL Design and assisted by Forum Architects, sought the expertise of Cladding Corp with regards to providing a fully-engineered rainscreen wall that would fit within specific budget parameters.  Guided by The 5 Principles of Rainscreen Cladding Design, the design team selected our porcelain stone panels in two different colors including the Workshop Series – one of our most popular alternatives to the patinas of more costly weathered steel panels.  By selecting the F2.20 System with visible, color matched clips, the design was able to meet specific budget requirements, allowing the project to have an unforgettable rainscreen facade with the desired running-bond panel layout, installed at a dramatically competitive price point.  Below are some photos of the exterior portions of the Transpo Center.
